1. Chapter 1

Chapter One; Playlists and Portraits

I was slightly saddened when Tori (my art teacher) assigned us into partners to draw portraits of one another.

It's not like I have a problem with portraits or art, it's more the partner part that I dislike.

To be honest I only have three friends: Christina, Uriah and Caleb, my brother.

So when I was partnered with the almighty Four Eaton (Quarterback and Homecoming King) you can guess my utter disgust.

The muscular boy walks up to me dark blue eyes assessing and criticizing me, the short, flat, blonde underclassmen who sits in the back row.

He's probably thinking of how incredibly hideous I am.

Four takes out his sketch book and begins to take notes on my appearance, I quickly follow suit taking note of his more prominent facial features.

Hooked nose

Strong jawline

Blue eyes

Spar upper lip and full bottom lip

I look up at his eyes trying to get the exact coloring.

They're beautiful. The color of a midnight sky with patches of lighter blue on the outer rim.

I once again draw my attention to Tori as she begins to speak once more. "I want these to be more than just a picture of a face. Make it creative; use your signature design on it and make it into something that describes your subject. Don't forget to make it nice though! They'll get their revenge."

I smile and look towards the boy across from me. "Tell me about yourself oh great and powerful Four. Honor me with knowledge about thyself."

Four looks taken aback, most likely because no one has ever not absolutely adored him before. Once he regains his composure he smirks at me. "You're on Prior! How's about you meet me at 'The Pit' Gym and watch me while I work out?"

I make a noise (un-ladylike at best) and dismiss him telling him to meet me at the treadmills 4:30 sharp. As soon as he leaves I insert my headphones and allow my mind to wander as I sketch, Imagine Dragons blasting in my ears.
