He looked out toward the water, hearing the far-off laughter of the one he loved like his own. The air was moist and light flickered off the sea, turning the morning into a scene from a story instead of the dark reminder of lives lost, shattering like a dropped glass. He glanced at the Gray Palace, stones glinting in the sunlight, pleased that Imajane, heir to the bloody throne and by whose design Dunevon was killed, was dead. The sun rose over the rebellion, and Taybur Sibigat couldn't help but feel that justice had been served for his little Dunevon.
