Work, work, and more work. Nothing but work for hours and hours on end. while Dazai was lazing about for half a day, Kunikida was up and running errands. "This should get me through the day" Kunikida said and drank one espresso cup. A green tea latte wouldn't cut it today.

He proceeded to preoccupy himself with work, feeling energized by the coffee. He wrote memos, made phone calls, balanced the budget, and anything else his coworkers needed help with.

He had another espresso, as he was running out of energy again.

"Kunikida-kun, you sure are cheery today" Dazai smirked as he approached him.

"It's because you didn't bother me until now, now what do you want Dazai?" Kunikida looked at the stack of papers in Dazai's arms a bit suspiciously.

"I was asked to work on a case, so I won't have time to do these." He pulled out a few papers from the stack. "Could you do me a favor and do them in my stead?"

"Nowhere in my aspirations does it say that I have to do your work for you, Dazai" Kunikida protested.

"You lost at rock paper scissors, Kunikida-kun." Dazai said with a big grin

"You fucking bastard"

Dazai let out a laugh and left the paperwork on Kunikida's desk.

Kunikida sipped some more espresso as he did Dazai's work as well. "I can't believe that bastard" He muttered to himself. He felt a bit jittery, but he also needed to not crash and finish this work on time.

Kunikida worked long after everyone finished due to the added work. He yawned and had another cup of espresso.

"Maybe I should cut back on the coffee" He said and stretched. "I won't be able to fall asleep tonight."

"What are you still doing here, Kunikida? Everyone's already left." Fukuzawa came out of his office. He was heading home as well.

"I had some work to finish first, director, sir." He got up and organized the papers before filing them in the appropriate cabinets. "I'll be heading home soon" He made himself the final cup of espresso and downed it down.

The next morning Kunikida woke up and sighed "I'm never drinking that much espresso ever again." He noted it in his aspirations and went back to catch up on sleep.
