20 YEARS:
Haruhi walked home after a long day at work. 20 years after high school, she now worked at a private law firm as a defence attorney. She stepped into the door of her apartment when her foot caught on something. "Huh," she said quietly to herself as she picked up a letter sitting at her feet. It looked old, faded white envelope with a red stamp in the corner. With no address, she was curious as to see who left it. After walking inside, she took a seat and opened the envelope.
Inside she found various pictures of her and the Host Club she used to be a part of. She smiled softly as she remembered the old days. After the Ouran Fair when Tamaki left for Paris and the club was disbanded, they didn't talk much. In fact, she hadn't spoken to any of them since graduation. She missed them all dearly, especially Tamaki. She didn't have a chance to say goodbye.
As Haruhi looked through the pictures, she found a letter. Seeing as she still didn't know who sent this letter, she opened it eagerly.
Dearest Haruhi,
By the time you read this, I will be long gone. I am with Lady Éclair now in Paris. I requested Kyouya to put this at your doorstep when the time came. You are beautiful. I realize it's not my place to say this, but I cannot help myself. I have loved you from the second I found out you were a "she," possibly even before then. I understand you may have found someone you are in love with, but I needed to let you know how I felt. I am hoping you still think of me as often as I think of you. I want to see you again, if only for a short while. Come to Paris, please.
Yours Always,
Tamaki
Haruhi's breath hitched. There was an address and money to buy a plane ticket to Paris. "That idiot," Haruhi mumbled to herself. She quickly packed her bag and made for the airport. When she boarded her plane and sat in a seat, she got out an old piece of paper, 20 years old. Faded in blue ink, was a note Haruhi had been too scared to deliver long ago. Looking at it now, she smiled.
Dear Tamaki,
I love you.
