Ranma ½ characters is property of Viz communications and Rumiko Takahashi.
Notes: This story is set between the last two pages of the final volume in the manga, just after the wedding is crashed and Ryoga is sitting there watching the destroyed Nannichuan barrel.
For her, I'll do it.

I can't stand it anymore.
Just how long is this chaos going to last? Back there, Shampoo and Ukyo are still fighting over Ranma. On the other side of the hall, my sweet Akane is trying to kick Kuno away from her and trying to get rid of Happosai. Right behind my back Mousse was just flattened by that old crone Cologne. Mr. Tendo is crying and Ranma's parents are just standing there doing nothing! And look at Akane's sisters… Kasumi is helpless, does she really think this is just a party? Then look at Nabiki, she has no right to ask for gift money from the guests!
And me? I haven't felt this depressed in months. I mean, at least the wedding was cancelled, but now the Nannichuan water is lost forever. However… now that I think of it, how come the Tendos had some?
Unfortunately Happosai drank it so… it doesn't matter anymore, does it?
A loud crash behind me. What could have caused it?
I turn around and see it was just Akane kicking Kuno through the roof, nothing important.
I sigh as I stand up.
I better leave, there's nothing for me here anymore, but… I take a look at Akane and see the defeated expression on her face. Guilt fills me to the core. I look around at the still continuing chaos and understand that this is also my fault.
I helped create this mess… and since Ranma is unconscious it seems the only one who can stop this disaster is me.
It's just right that I do it. I am partly at fault, after all.
The first thing I do is order Ukyo and Shampoo to leave Ranma alone.
They don't take it well, and while they did leave Ranma on the floor they are now directing their anger at me.
Foolish girls. I normally don't attack women, but I'm afraid there's no other way to get them away from dojo quickly, so I simply call forth my depression and use a Shi Shi Hokodan to send them flying all the way to Tokyo's downtown. I don't know where they'll land, but I don't particularly care.
I turn left to see Mousse is furious. Great, the idiot put his glasses on and saw what I did to Shampoo… and I was counting on talking him down. I turn right and see that weird ninja who lives with Ukyo is staring at me in a way that I don't like.
I decide to deal with Mousse first, since he is in my opinion the most dangerous of the two.
As expected he threw chains in my direction, which I easily catch with my umbrella. Now I'll just spin him and… done! Mousse is now on his way to meet Shampoo by air courtesy of yours truly.
Now let's see what Ukyo's weird ninja friend is planning to do…
Oh? He's no longer here? Well, that's fine with me, less work on my hands and all that.
Kodachi noticed what I was doing and tried to use it as cover to kidnap Ranma, so I had to grab her by the arm to drag her away from him. She responded by throwing a bag full of sleeping powder at me. I almost got hit with it, too! I was able to barely dodge it, and fortunately, Happosai was kind enough to jump in the way and get hit by it. That saved me a lot of trouble, since now the old troll is sleeping.
All that's left is to get rid of Kodachi, but when I turn around to face her I see that Cologne was kind enough to send her flying in the same direction her brother went. The old woman then bowed and said that ruining the wedding this way was not something she had planned. She then apologized to Soun, Genma and Nodoka and left peacefully. I must say that was particularly surprising.
The only one left is that strange teacher from Ranma's High school. It's not that Hinako is being annoying or destructive, she did drain energy from several students and is now in that adult form of hers, but she's trying to comfort Soun of all people, and while she's not doing that much of a good job at it, she isn't causing trouble, so I'll simply let mister Tendo and Kasumi deal with her.
I decide to help Ms. Saotome explain all the other students that the wedding is cancelled, and I stay inside while she walks Ranma's classmates out.
It seems the undesirables are all gone, and I can finally see how Akane is doing. Will she blame me for this? I did take part on the whole disaster, it would be her right to do so.
I only hope she can forgive me, and…
Praise the Lord! Akane thanked me for what I just did, she even smiled at me!
My dear Akane, if only you were wearing that wedding dress for me! I'd be the happiest man on this planet!
Our conversation is cut short, as someone behind me asked for help.
I turn and see that Ranma's mother is wondering if I could help her carry her son to his room. Well, I can certainly do that, especially since she says she'll lead the way.
I leave Akane behind as I heft Ranma over my shoulder and follow Nodoka back into the house.
It didn't take long to reach the Saotome's room, and by the time I place Ranma on his futon he's already stirring. Good, he should be awake in a few minutes, but by then I'll be gone from here.
I walk out and somehow find myself upstairs. Odd since I wanted to go back to the dojo.
I hear Akane and Nabiki behind me. The sisters are arguing on the stairs, and going by the insults I manage to hear, the fight is really bad, even if they're obviously doing their best not to yell at each other and hush their words. Still, considering what Nabiki did earlier, I am not surprised at all Akane is confronting her like this.
Silence, and then Nabiki rushes upstairs. She is furious, and stops when she sees me. There's an instant when I think she's going to yell at me, but in the end she just enters her bedroom and slams the door behind her. This is the first time I've seen her doing it, which means whatever Akane told her was able to break through and hurt her somewhat.
I don't particularly mind. Nabiki deserves it.
I manage to find the stairs and start going down, thinking that it's time for me to finally leave. That is when I see her. Akane, sitting on the stairs.
She looks miserable, and I can see that she is fighting back her tears. She notices me and quickly stands up, apologizing as she goes past me, saying she'll be in her room.
I let her go, there's nothing I can do to comfort her…
But I know someone who can. Someone who I'm sure will be able to help her.
=0=
I hate myself for doing this, but it's all I can do to help my dear Akane.
I enter the kitchen after confirming Kasumi is still busy cleaning the dojo. It's a miracle I haven't gotten lost yet, but maybe the gods are willing to let me do what I have to.
I do hope Ranma wakes soon, because I know that as much as Akane loves P-Chan, the one she needs is him. Maybe only to punch him and blame him for the wedding fiasco, but she needs Ranma.
My pig form is only a substitute, I am now aware of that… but I know it will make her feel better until she can talk to Ranma so I have to do it; there's nobody else who can help her right now.
And so, I fill a glass with cold water and pour it on my head.
Another miracle allows me to find my way back to Akane's room, and I scratch at her door with my hooves.
It doesn't take her long to open the door and pick me up. She is no longer wearing the wedding dress, she's now wearing a blue dress instead. Thanking me for coming back, she carries me into her room, claiming she has so many things to tell me.
It seems this is going to be one of those very rare moments when my pig curse will let me help her…
I know this is not the way I want to help her, but I love Akane, and if this is all I can do, then I will.
