He deeply sighed, fixing the bubblegum pink glasses that were sliding down his nose, and adjusting the ridiculous pink hat he had popped from a cracker.

Straightening his haori, his deep chocolate eyes skimmed around the room, searching for a way out that would not require ruining his perfect act.

Again, he sighed, noticing a certain sapphire- eyed lady wearing a fake mustache and glasses, laughing her ass off at a joke Gin had just blurted out. Everyone was here, even Head Captain Yamamoto. But one person was missing.

The host of the party.

The one who's fault it was he was wearing this silly hat.

He had no time for this, he needed to get back to his research and plans.

A flash of gold caught his eye, and she was in a chair to his right a moment later, hair shimmering like always and mischievousness burning in her emerald eyes. For a while, she just sat there, observing his perfect act. Then she leaned towards his ear.

"Plans can wait... She requires your attention more."

"She's doing perfectly fine without me." - his glasses flashed, deflecting the light, and for a second his unfeeling eyes showed his true brilliant coldness. Then, like a trick of the light, it vanished.

"Yes she is... But even though she might not show it, she wants you to have fun with her, do the silly things couples do. So, Aizen... *she trailed off, pushing him out of the sofa and to Izanami, the sapphire- eyed beauty*... Have fun for once, you might find you enjoy it."

And, in a blink of the eye, she was gone, twirling in a dance with the light itself, the merry yet sinister child she was.

Coming closer to Izanami, Aizen smiled to himself. Maybe, just maybe, that annoying girl was right for once. He took Izanami's hand, brushing his lips over it and silkily asking her to dance.

And the unmasked surprise and happiness shining in her eyes was proof enough for him.
