My mama's sittin there, looks like I only got a one way ticket over here...
A look of soft sorrow crossed a worn, metallic face.

A streak of blue broke free, trickling to the floor.

An ancient mind remembered a friendship that had stretched across millions of years.

Four gun shots. A human custom. They called it a salute. He flinched as each shot tore through the air.
