"Luna!"

"Luna!"

"LUNA?"

"No!"

"no no no no."

The alicorn broke down. Sobbing in the wake of the battle.

She had won.

She had lost so much.

"NO!" She screamed into the air. No one heard. She stomped the ground. She fell on her side. She cried. She sobbed. Her sister was gone. She was acting like a filly.

She didn't care.

How else was she supposed to respond? How? How?

It was all her fault. She hadn't listened. She hadn't been watchful. What had she done?

Nothing.

She'd done nothing to try and help her sister.

She had to banish her. It had to be done.

At least that's what she told herself.

Besides, this wasn't her sister.

It wasn't Luna, it wasn't the beautiful mare who had so much life, it wasn't the little sister she had grown up with.

And it certainly wasn't the pony that she had defeated discord with. it was an evil creature that had taken over Luna.

"I'm so sorry sister" she said up at the moon. As she would for a thousand years.

She felt trapped.

She wasn't herself.

But she was. She had listened to it, believed it.

And it had taken control of her.

Without her to help her sister the elements of harmony were limited. Her sister had done what she had to, all she could.

It wasn't her sister's fault, but she wouldn't know that.

"I'm so sorry sister" she said to the earth. As she would for a thousand years.
