"Since it worked ther other time, there's a good chance that it would work again."

Koizumi smiled.

"Of course, there's also the chance that the entire world would be reset immediately to the closed space environment you experienced previously. Would you like to take the chance?"

Damn. It wasn't something I wanted to do, but he's right that this could break us out of the time loop. The weirdness of the entire thing was getting to me, and something's gotta give if the loop went on and the deja vu got out of control.

I looked upwards at sky. "I suppose I could give it a try."

"I merely jest. Such an action would have much... unforeseen consequences. But of course, I cannot stop you. Please feel free to try if you must."

As usual, Haruhi was the first to leave after the activity. Right after the door closed behind her, I gestured towards the others to stay back before running towards it. Koizumi lost his perpetual smile. Instead, it was now neutral and stiff. Asahina-san had a look of confusion as Koizumi reached out to hold her back, while Nagato merely stood there silently.

Running out the exit, I turned and saw that Haruhi was at the bus station. Creeping silently towards the station, I walked around outside her line of vision so tha I could surprise her from the back.

Ugh, the things I have to do to accommodate her.

Right as I was moving my arms towards her, she discovered my presence and tried to turn around, but it was too late, I had already slid my arms around her waist, and her head now leaned against my shoulder.

I was ready for her to start struggling, but most unexpectedly she began trembling instead. Her voice, when it came out, was trembling as well.

"K... Kyon...?"

Man, that resembled Asahina-san way too much for my liking. She felt small and vulnerable in my arms, and I suddenly had the urge to treat her much like Asahina-san.

Hey wait, I'm a man on a mission here!

Remembering what I had to do, I lowered my head towards her ear and whispered.

"Haruhi... I want you to know that I... I love you..."

I know most people think that those three words are extremely difficult to say out loud, but it actually isn't if you don't mean it in the first place.

There was a flash of light and everything vanished.

I woke up.

I sat up and looked around me, only to see nothingness extending infinitely everywhere.

Looking to the side, I saw Haruhi lying beside me.

Ugh.

A/N: Kyon not liking Haruhi is fun.
