Gru and Dr. Nefario had been busy making new inventions, and they were finished. ''Dis will be useful I'm sure'' Gru said. ''Better be careful with that '' Dr. Nefario warned, ''Who knows what could happen if the girls or the minions got hold of it?''. ''Of course'' Gru nodded.
Later that day, Margo was looking at the list of chores she had to do that day. It seemed such an awful lot to do. But she had an idea. she snuck down to the lab and found the old cloning machine. ''I'm older and wiser then Edith'', Margo thought remembering the time how Edith had accidently got several clones,
''So I can read the instructions on how to do this carefully''. She set the controls for one clone and soon enough, Margo had a clone. As the two Margos were doing the chores, Edith who had been practising her ninja skills, had unfortunately gotten hold of the hypnotize charm, another of Gru's newly invented weapons.
She saw who she thought was Margo doing some tidying up. ''Oh Margo, check this out'' Edith smirked. The clone Margo spun round and found herself under Edith's power. ''You are now a ninja'' Edith said, ''You will be ruthless and merciless too''. Then she heard Gru coming and rushed away.
''Ah Margo'' Gru said, ''There you are, Could you take this to Lucy at the AVL?, she forgot it''. He handed the clone Margo who now thought she was a ninja a Lipstick Taser. To his surprise, it was snatched roughly from, and the clone Margo rushed away. ''Dat doesn't sound like Margo'' he thought, ''I wonder what's up''.
Margo had seen Gru hand the lipstick taser to her clone, and she had noticed her clone thought she was a ninja, but how?.
Edith was the ninja fan in the Gru residence. Margo herself wasn't a fan of ninjas, so how comes her clone did?. She decided to follow her clone on keep an careful watch out. Meanwhile on her way to the AVL, the clone Margo was zapping people with the lipstick taser, and soon there were lots of passed out people lying on the ground.
Zita was nearby and was about to get zapped when the real Margo came and stopped the attack. Zita was stunned. ''Margo!, there's two of you'' she shrieked. But Margo couldn't answer, she had to protect everyone from her clone who thought she was a ninja. Meanwhile Lucy had returned early from the AVL.
She saw Agnes playing outside with her unicorn. ''Look Mum!'' Agnes shouted suddenly, she pointed across the road. ''It's Margo and she's fighting with Margo, there are two Margos!''. ''You're right'' Lucy replied. ''Gru!'' Lucy called for her husband desperately, ''Come quick!''. ''Ok Lucy I'm here'' Gru panted, ''What's the matter?''.
Lucy pointed across the road. Gru gasped, how comes there were two Margos?, and why were they fighting?. ''Let me handle dis'' he growled. ''Assemble the minions!'' he added. Dr Nefario joined them on the scene. ''Er thought you might need some help Gru''. ''Thank you, doctor'' Gru said, ''I think I could. He and Dr Nefario rushed over and stopped the two Margos fighting.
Then Dr. Nefario bravely zapped the clone Margo with the lipstick taser. ''Em Gru, have you noticed that clones don't have belly buttons?''. ''No'' Gru said, stunned that he'd never thought of that. ''Well, check this out'' Dr. Nefario pulled up the shirt of the unconscious clone Margo.
Gru could see quite clearly that the belly on the clone Margo was completely plain. After he got rid of the clone Margo, he went to put the washing on. As he did so he noticed something in the pocket of Edith's ninja outfit. ''A ha'' he exclaimed, ''so it was Edith who was responsible for this clone Margo being so dangerous''.
