What Happened To Kain?

This story is for Full Metal Alchemist, my favorite show. Please, read and enjoy!
"Great Leto!" Roze exclaimed. "Kain will be here any minute!!" She hurried to fix her hair and make up.
There was a knock at the door.
"Coming!" Roze said.
When she opened the door, Kain was there, but in jeans and a sweatshirt.
"Hey, Ro," he said, "ready to go rock climbing?"
"Kain, you know I'm afraid of heights. Plus, I got all dressed up." she added. "How about a buggy ride?"
Kain
grinned. "Alright."
Walking to the nearest stop, they saw that
a buggy was all ready to go.
"Excuse me, sir!" she said, running over. "How much is a ride for two?" she asked.
"Thirty yen." he replied. She gave him the money and got in with Kain.
It's getting dark. Roze thought. I hope the horses can see well.
"Wow!" Kain exclaimed. "Roze, look at the view!"
"Kain, be car- " She was cut off as the buggy went over a particularly bumpy space of the path. At that moment, Kain leaned too far and fell out the window!
"KAIN!!! Kain! kain…" Roze curled up into a ball on the floor and there was one thing going through her mind: this can't be happening...No, no Kain CAN'T be dead! She didn't notice the driver stopping, squeezing between the narrow space between the cliff and the buggy, opening the door. Now he was saying something.
"Madam? Madam, are you allright?"
Roze feebly uncurled, sat up and asked the driver in a shaky voice, " How far up are we?"
"About 300,000 feet." he replied.
Roze fainted.
After the blackness ended, she opened her eyes and saw a pretty woman in a white outfit. She sat up and looked around. Great, she thought, a hospital.
"What happened?" Roze asked after a minute or two.
"You fainted, dearie." The nurse replied.
"Yes, yes I know that." Roze said, trying not to be rude. "What happened after I fainted? After Kain…" she trailed off. Did Kain really die? She thought about what he said nearly a year before. I swear by the Sun God Leto, Roze, that I will always be here to protect you. Roze sighed.
"After you fainted, the buggy driver took you here."
" How long have I been out?"
"About five hours." the nurse said.
That made sense; the sun was just rising. Another nurse came in and said something in a low voice to the other. She nodded and said to Roze, "It seems that you have a visitor, do you feel well enough?"
"Of course!" Roze said, getting up. " who is it ?" then an elderly man with no hair and laugh lines etched in his face wearing a black robe came up. "Roze." he said softly.
"High Priest!" Roze exclaimed, bowing. "Why are you here?"
"Roze, I understand that, after the accident with Kain, you can't live at your house."
"Yes." Roze said, more than a little uncertain.
"Please, come and live with me, there's more than enough room."
"Thank you High Priest! Yes, it would be an honor to live with you and serve in the Church of Leto."
"It is settled, then. Come, let us gather your belongings."
"I can't thank you enough, Father Cornello." Roze said softly, bowing.
"You are very welcome, Roze. It is my duty, as Leto's emissary, to help those in need."
