Ada

The corridor was dark; she couldn't see her hand in front of her face. Her flashlight tried its best to shine through the darkness. She took a step forward, shining her flashlight around. The bulb flickered, dimmed and then turned off. She silently cursed the stupid thing. Her steps were slow as she listened for every creak, moan, and groan the corridor seemed to produce.

Her heels clicked on the cement, she held her Blacktail up for a quick strike. She gently pushed open the door to the left and surveyed the room. A few valuables, medicine, and ammo, she shut the door quietly.

Heading toward the medicine, she heard the door slam open behind her. Turning quickly, her laser line-of-sight aimed for the head of the thing.

With a guttural moan, the Ganado lunged toward Ada; she shot him in the knee and with a swift back kick she sent him flying into the wall. With an executioner blow she shattered his head into fleshy bits.

She checked her magazine and reloaded to full capacity. She grabbed the rest of the stuff and walked back into the corridor. She sighed and headed out of the corridor.

"Still no key," she grumbled angrily.

"You mean this key?" Bitores asked holding out the huge copper key she needed.

Suddenly, Bitores started transforming. His spine growing like a centipede, two more arms came from the back of his spine and his lower half fell apart.

Ada looked around knowing her Blacktail pistol wasn't going to do much damage. A shotgun lay on top of some barrels.

She cart wheeled out of the way of his attack and grabbed the shotgun. She loaded it to max capacity and shot Bitores, blowing him against the wall.

Crimson dripped down the wall as one of his claws sliced open her side. She fell back against the wall and shot another round of bullets into him.

Flesh flew from the spine as each bullet hit. He yelled and charged at her, she dodged almost every blow despite her wounds. She found time to reload and aimed for his head. She dealt the fatal blow and his body slumped against the wall.

She walked up to the body and picked the key from his neck. It stuck to his body with a jelly like substance. With a disgusted look on her face she tried to shake the substance off her fingers.

She turned back and as she walked away, a squelching noise was heard as a tentacle shot out and dragged her back into the darkness.
