A love arrow stolen from Cupid. A crossbow borrowed from one of his family's many weapon galleries. Two out of the three things he needed; there was only one piece in his plan missing.

Timmy.

From his perch atop a nearby hill, Remy watched as he talked with his friends in the school yard, the wind ever so softly caressing his hair…

Notching the arrow, he raised the crossbow and prepared to fire.

But a soft voice made him halt in his tracks. "Remy."

He glanced over his shoulder to see his fairy godparent floating behind him. "Juandissimo."

"Remy, tell me what you think you're doing."

He turned back to his target, taking aim with the crossbow. "That should be obvious."

Juandissimo calmly floated over and pushed the crossbow down. "Remy, you don't want to do this. You know it wouldn't be right."

"And who are you to talk? Hypocrite! You're in love with a married woman!" he snapped. Only to instantly regret it at the faraway, sad look that entered his godparent's eyes. "Juandissimo, I'm sorry –"

"No, Remy, you are right." A sigh. "Yes, I have tried to steal Wanda away from her husband many times. But I have ALWAYS fought for her fair and square."

Remy raised an eyebrow. Juandissimo flushed. "Alright, there have one or two times I have not been above trickery. But never have I ever tried to force her into falling in love with me."

Against his will, a few stray tears leaked out of Remy's eyes. "I-I'm not forcing him. I'm just getting him to take a closer look at what's in front of him, that's all."

A hand upon his shoulder. "Remy, that's not what you're doing and you know it."

"… you're right." The crossbow dropped to the side as his arm went limp, struggling to hold back his tears.

Juandissimo wrapped his toned arms around Remy as he buried his face in his chest, giving in and letting the tears flow freely. "I-I just want him to look at me the same way I look at him."

"Shh, I know, Remy. I know. And someday he will." A smile and a pat upon his back. "I'll help you win him over, fair and square."
