Author's Note: This is my first pokemon story, so I really hope you like it!
Charolette wiggled impatiently in her seat. Her parents would be home from Sinnoh any minute now! And, she was so sure that her parents got her a present, because they made her wait until she was two years older then the average age,10, to start her journey! Charolette twirled a piece of her faded purple hair around her finger, waiting for her parents. She heard a loud honking, and grinned. It was her parents! Charolette darted out of the house, and skipped to a stop once she got to the side of her parents car. Her dad stepped out of the car, and scooped her up in a hug.
"Charolette! We've missed you!" Charolette's mom said, as she ran around the car and hugged her daughter as well.
" I missed you guys too, " The twelve year old replied when she was sat back downfrom the bear hugs.
Her dad reached into the car, and pulled out a pokeball. Charolette's heart nearly beated out of her chest. Finally! Her first pokemon! All her faith would rely in this one pokemon. She would catch more, but she still knew her first was the most special. She reached shakily for the ball. Charolette grabbed it, and rolled it around in her palm, getting used to the feeling and weight of the ball. She was about to throw it, when her father stopped her.
"Wait- it has to be in the water. Water pokemon need it , or they won't survive." Charolette's father said, showing her to the side of the house where a small pond was. She threw it to the water, and out popped her pokemon! Charolettes faced dropped.
"A-A Magikarp? " She asked, not bothering to hide her disappointment.
"Just kidding!" Her father hollared, as her mother laughed patting her on the back. Her mouth returned the Magikarp, before handing another pokeball to her.
"H-ha, funny." Charolette said shakily. She took the next ball, and threw it out at the grass. A small, white , blue and yellow chipmunk she didn't regonize popped out.
"Its a Pachirisu! She'll help you catch all the pokemon in the Johoto region ! " Her father explained.
" She is an eletric type,you know that would help with the violet city gym " Charolette's mother stated for a matter of fact.
Charolette quickly got on her knees,and hugged the small pokemon tightly, who in turn squealled, and accidently sent an eletric shock towards her, sparking her purple hair into a puff that Charolette barely managed to slick back. Charolette and her family laughed, before she stood up and Pachirisu climbed up her and took a seat on her head.
" Now, go see professor Elm. He has something for you. After,you can go on your journey!" Charolette' mother announce.
Charolette took off toward the lab. Wondering what Elm had for her. All she knew was, that she couldn't wait to start her journey and the sooner she left was the sooner it would all begin!
