What Death Brings, Life Has Abandoned
A/N: I don't know where this came from… Big surprise from whose POV this is in…
I walked over to your tomb, if I could, I'd cry.
It was so stupid, what you did.
You didn't have to do it, but you did.
Now, you can't save the wizarding world when it's at its worst.
I've started taking over, destroying what you saved from Him.
From Voldemort, the long dead Dark Lord.
I brought about your end, though you didn't think so.
You thought it was Voldemort's Death Eaters, not me, anyone but me.
I've torn your "family" to shreds.
The Weasleys were weak.
Ron was destroyed and Ginny disappeared.
The life of the dark side is rich in rewards, did you know?
The power is magnificent, the pleasures, sharp.
I took your wand, your powers as you lay there, dying.
You pleaded with me to take them, too, thinking that I was good and nice.
But you were wrong, and so was the man who died to save you that night on the tower.
You were devastated at his loss, but you would be more devastated at your own.
The power I took was more than enough to make me immortal, but I didn't take it.
I will die a mortal death, my heirs will take my place.
But I think you should know:
What death brings, life abandons.
I walked away after that, leaving your decrepit corpse rotting in your tomb. And I walked into the moonlight, my brown hair flying about my face, my cinnamon eyes glowing during the time I love most.
Eternal night.
