It was a cold night , my mother and father were preparing our tea. My brothers Matt and Jackson were away on a school trip and I was doing my homework.
Suddenly I heard a loud BANG, and my mother pleading, begging with someone. Then I smelt it, gun powder and fresh blood. I took a quick peek around the corner and I saw my father lying on the ground, surrounded in a pool of blood, dead.
I broke out into sobs. The murderer who killed my father turned around to see me. I heard my mother scream
"Not Carlee! Not my beautiful baby!" and then I heard a gunshot. My mother fell to the ground like a rag doll, tossed aside to make room for another doll (in this case another murder).
Something hit me on the head and I felt a hot liquid running through my hair. It was blood, my own blood. I tried to stand up, but the murderer was holding me firmly down.
Then there was a ferocious snarl and I saw a girl, about a year or two younger than myself. She had long, light brown hair and glowing gold eyes. I couldn't remember seeing her anywhere before.
She stalked over to the man, like a predator stalking her prey. She broke his arm with such force, that he screamed out in pain.
"Ozzie! Take Carlee to Jason, he may have to change her!" the girl yelled to someone.
I felt a pair of cool, strong arms left me off of the ground. I looked up to see who it was, but I suddenly blacked out.

The next thing I knew was horrible pain, like a fire tearing through me, I screamed and screamed, a calm, southing voice, the voice of the girl who saved my life.
"Shh! The pain, it'll be gone in another hour or two. I know of it, as I am like you or like you will become. I am a vampire. As is everyone in this house." She said, "My name is Stefanie Young."

An hour or two later I was introduced to my new life and family. I met my mate, Oswald Rex Finch.
