Title: Esurient
Disclaimer: Labyrinth belongs to the Jim Henson Company, Jennifer Conneley, and a certain David Bowie. I own nothing.
A/N: I haven't written anything for such a long time, I decided to write a drabble based off of 's word of the day. Little did I know that it would become… un drabble-y. (Hope you all enjoy!)

He wants her.
She can't see him – oh no, he's much too good at this…game for her to be able to, but she still knows that he's there.
She feels the back of her neck prickle when she's quite sure she's alone.
And when she's totally engrossed in something – her acting, or reading, or even doing her homework! – it's like he's in the same room as her. Because she feels something – his presence, his aura – and she knows that she'd be a fool to assume that it was her mind playing tricks on her.
No, she tells herself over and over again when she hasn't seen a sign of him for quite some time, magic is real. Therefore, he is real. And, really, whenever she's been close to believing that that entire ordeal in the Labyrinth was one ig dream, he makes it obvious to her that it wasn't. Whether that sign be a crystal sitting innocuously on her dresser, or his own silhouette standing above her as she pretends to sleep…

He wants her. And so he makes it sure that he won't ever be forgotten by her.
Whether it's a date with someone new – as in, someone who hasn't heard that anyone who dares go out with Sarah Williams will find their a very important appendage cut off in the middle of the night – or whatever (she isn't quite sure what "whatever" would entail, but it probably goes something along the lines of something as innocent as just friends) Jareth ensures that there won't be a second date. Ever.
So Sarah's gotten used to some Friday and Saturday nights hanging out all alone either babysitting Toby (pre-university) or hanging out at her apartment (post-uni). She's amassed a large DVD collection (because she doesn't like to go to the movies alone. It's like she's begging for him to come and…save her or something) and a ridiculously comfortable blanket.
But if he thinks that she doesn't notice the white owl hanging around her living room (and bedroom!) window, then he must be an idiot.

Yes, it's pretty clear to Sarah Williams that one Goblin King (named Jareth) wants her, as completely as one can. Especially when said Goblin King poofs into her apartment and grabs her and starts kissing her.
Her knees feel weak, and she's barely able to keep above water with him, and she's pretty sure that she's doing it all wrong, but when he pulls away, giving her that smile of his that's just like early spring (distinctly cold, but it's all a façade, really, because eyes that wonderful can't mean it), and she knows that it all goes a step farther than that.
Sure, he wants her.
But she thinks that he might also – dare she think? – love her.
And so she pulls him in for another kiss, showing him that she wants him too.

A/N: Sorry if the ending seems to be a little weak. Feel free to point out any mistakes! :D
