I ONLY OWN ALLIE AND EVAN! This is a preview of a story I'm writing for Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The main characters are Nico and an OC of mine. This preview is part of a chapter later on in the story.
I couldn't take how he could do this to her. She came to my cabin in tears, she was covered in bruises, and this wasn't the first time this happened.
Evan, child of Ares, her boyfriend. He beat her continuously; but she couldn't leave him, he told her if she tried, he'd kill her.
I never liked Evan; but now I couldn't even stand looking at him. How could he do this to her? Allie's my best friend. I love her; but I never got up the courage to tell her before that douche-bag Evan took her.
When I coaxed her back into her cabin, I grabbed my guitar and sat on my bed.
I played the chords that I've had memorized, I wrote this for her.
"Hey, girl, you know you drive me crazy. One look puts the rhythm in my hand. Still, I'll never understand why you hang around; I see what's going down. Cover up with make up in the mirror. Tell yourself it's never gonna happen again. You cry alone and then he swears he loves you…
"Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground? Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's bound to end. As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found…
"A pebble in the water makes a ripple effect. Every action in this world will bare a consequence. If you wait around forever you will surely drown; I see what's going down. I see the way you go and say you're right again, say you're right again, heed my lecture…
"Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground? Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's bound to end. As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found
"Face down in the dirt, she says this doesn't hurt. She says I finally had enough. Face down in the dirt, she says this doesn't hurt. She says I finally had enough. One day, she will tell you that she has had enough. It's coming 'round again…
"Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground? Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's bound to end. As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found. Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground? Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's bound to end. As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found.
"Face down in the dirt, she says this doesn't hurt. She says I finally had enough."
I stopped playing and put my guitar back in the corner. "I love you, Allie." I whispered, even though I know she couldn't hear me.
Tell me if I should keep writing this story, because I want to know if I'm wasting my time writing this.
The song is my favorite song, Face Down by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
