"Hmph. You know, you need to get your hair redone, Iris. Your roots are starting to show."
Iris sighed as her twin sister gestured towards the mirror. Her black roots were indeed starting to show under the red hair dye, but fortunately, they hadn't grown out too much yet.
"I-I will, Dahlia," Iris replied quietly.
"Just remember, if you don't get that necklace back soon, I'll do it myself," Dahlia said warningly.
"Yes, I know."
"And that idiot will be here for your date soon, so please make sure you're ready when he gets here..."
Phoenix stopped to catch his breath as he arrived outside Dahlia's dorm building. It was right behind the literature department, which was convenient for her, but it was quite a distance from his building. Ivy University's dorm policies were surprisingly lax; students could basically come and go between dorms as long as they had their student IDs with them. He entered the dorm and paused to scan his card at the front desk, and then hurried up to the third floor to meet Dahlia.
When he got to her door, it was already cracked, so Phoenix grinned and headed on in, opening the door as he knocked. Two gasps of surprise met him when he entered, and he blinked. Two identical redheads were sitting on his girlfriend's bed, and their eyes were wide in shock.
"You're early!" one of them cried, while the other hung her head in embarrassment.
"Um... Dollie, why are there two of you? And does this mean I get to take both of you out to dinner?"
Both girls sighed as Phoenix sheepishly scratched the back of his neck.
