The Late Life of Nyphadora Lupin

I stormed down the hall of the infirmary, who did he think he was? I had waited months for him and his feeble excuse was that he wasn't good enough for me! I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't notice someone race after me. "Dora! Dora! Wait!" he cried desperately. I spun around and faced him but I was too quick, he hadn't been expecting me to stop. "Ouch! Remus Lupin wha-"Before I knew it Remus had grabbed my face gently and pulled me in to kiss him. When he broke apart his expression was mixed between pure joy and the edge of a mental breakdown.

I knocked over my milk while rushing to eat my muffin, why was I cursed with clumsiness? I heard the doorbell ring and muttered the spell to clean up. I streaked to the door and took a deep breath. "Hello Dora" said Remus with his usual mysterious grin. I kissed quickly and grabbed my coat with the patches off the doorknob of the closet. "Let's go" I said. Many people gave us looks of disgust and spat on the ground as I passed now, but I didn't mind, I was getting married. Remus had proposed soon after our moment in Hogwarts and not a moment too soon if you ask me.

CRACK "Dora?" I heard my husband call cautiously as he apparated in the entry hall. "Welcome home!" I called from the kitchen. Remus walked into the room and peered at me suspiciously. "How are you feeling?" I rolled my eyes and kissed him on the cheek. "Honestly I'm not going to burst any second now Remus!" I retorted and he blushed. I smiled and got back to burning our toast. "How did your meeting with Harry go?" I asked brightly. Even though I wasn't looking at him I felt the tension in the room go through the roof. "Oh fine" he said stiffly. I could tell the subject was still touchy though so I let it go.

"REMUS!" I shouted panicked. His eyes clicked open and he sat bolt upright. "THE BABY'S COMING!" I screamed. Remus paled considerably jumped out of bed. He came around to my side and grabbed me. The next thing I knew I was at St. Mungos being carried by my husband into the nearest room. Four hours later after much screaming, pushing, and encouragement Teddy Lupin was born. The best part of the whole experience was when Remus held his Teddy for the first time and asked me, "Did he have my eyes five minutes ago?"

I was battling for my life, or rather my son's life. I wanted to make a better future for Teddy. Then I saw my husband Remus get hit with a curse and ran over to him. "Remus? Remus answer me!" I cried hysterically. The last thing I saw was his face. I heard the words of the forbidden curse then a blinding green light. I was going to see them again. Remus, my father, Mad eye, and I would never be separated from them again.
