Me: PERCABETH! On with the fic!
It was late afternoon at Camp Half-Blood. Everyone was lined up to give part of his or her lunch to the god of our choice.
Annabeth was in front of me, Grover, my satyr best friend, behind me. Annabeth smiled at me, we've been good friends since my first year here. We've been through a lot together, Zeus's lightning bolt, the Sea of Monsters, when I rescued her and Artemis (with help of course), the Labyrinth, and now, the war with the Titan Lord Kronus. She was pretty, smart, funny, stubborn and sarcastic sometimes, and just plain awesome. She smiled at me and I felt butterflies. It was my turn to give part of my meal to the god of my choice.
I scraped half of my pizza off of my plate and into the fire, the smell changed to let the other meals that the campers had given to smell good together.
"Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom," I thought, hoping that she would listen. "I know you don't like me 'cause I'm friends with Annabeth, but I want you to know that I won't turn on anyone. I won't because I have her, and my other friends, to keep me grounded." I paused to glance at her, laughing at the Athena table. "I also want to say thanks. Thanks for Annabeth. Thanks for my friend. Thanks for my guide through this world. Thanks for my love. Thanks, for my Wise Girl."
I ran back to the Poseidon table and rushed to finish my lunch. I just finished when someone tapped me on the shoulder. I look behind me and saw Annabeth, looking impatient. I smiled.
"Come on, Seaweed Brain! Capture the Flag is in five minutes!" She stopped when she saw my smiling. Annabeth raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"Nothing, let's go," I said. We walked to the forest.
"What are you staring at?" she asked curiously, probably wondering if there was something in her teeth.
"You, Wise Girl. Now come on!" I said. Running ahead of her. I heard a 'Hey!' behind me, then footsteps. I looked back and laughed as she quickly gained on me. (A/N: Little did he know of what was going on at Mount Olympus. Let's go see, shall we?)
"Aww!" Aphrodite squealed. Athena just smiled and sighed. "Told you Percy was sweet!" Athena rolled her eyes.
"Okay, okay! He could be friends with Annabeth! You were right!" Athena exclaimed. She let out a huff. Aphrodite was always able to ruin her good moods. She was almost as bad as Poseidon, and that was saying something!
"Ha! She said it! Hand over the drachmas, Ares," Poseidon exclaimed, popping out of nowhere. Ares was right behind him, grumbling and reaching into him pocket for five golden drachmas. Athena groaned and rubbed her temples.
"I am the shining lighthouse in the bay of stupidity," she said to herself, ignoring the protests behind her. "And, Percy, you're welcome. And thanks forcaring about my daughter," she added in with a smile.
Me: Well? Sorry it's short! Tell me what you think by hitting the pretty green button down there. I don't have all day! R&R! Bye!
