Sorry this is spur of the moment. I just saw the new episode'Enimies Foreign" and this came into my head when I saw the scene between Ziva and her Father. Spoilers ahead
I do not own
" There was once a time when I was very diffrent. When my home was full of childrens laughter. Yours, Aris, Talis. There was a time, yes."
Ziva watched her father walk back around the car as the tears welled up in her eyes. She knew the truth in his statement, and the hurt and pain in his eyes.
" Then why does it have to change Papa?"
That stopped Eli in his tracks. Papa, she hadn't called him that for a very long time and it struck something down deep. He turned to look at Ziva and instead of seeing the emotionless officer he had made her, he saw a scared little girl, yearning for her father to hold her and tell her it would all be ok.
" Why did it change Papa?"
Eli moved back over to his daughter and just took a look at her. Her big brown eyes filled with years worth of tears and the wanting for his approval.
" I never wanted it to, beleive me, I did not want to lose you too."
" Why did you push me away then?"
Eli stopped, he did not know the answer to her question.
" I do not know Ziva. Honestly I never meant to."
Ziva looked in his eyes searching for the approval she desired from him she saw it, pushing forward and shinning through to her. She finaly let the tears go and he pulled her into his arms, soothing her as she sobbed tears of relief. Ziva smiled into his shirt, he had not held her like that since she was a young girl, she had always thrived for him to act this way with her. She held onto him tightly and just took in the feeling. When they pulled apart she looked up into his eyes.
" I love you Papa. I love you."
" I love you too Ziva, do not ever forget that, no matter what happens you are my daughter and I will always be here for you, from now on."
He kissed her forehead and she just smiled.
" Papa would you like to come to my house after all this is over? I can cook you dinner."
" I would like that a lot. We can talk about everything and catch up. here is so much I have missed."
She smiled as he got into the car and ziva climbed into the drivers seat with tears in her eyes.
He loved her, he actually loved her.
So yeah there it is. I honestly want Ziva and her father ti get along. I know what it feels like to be distant from your father and it is never easy to think that I never got to know the real him. So let me know what you think.
