ScorpiusDominique appropriate

He'd never been good at the whole comforting thing, really, and Dominique was never his favourite, because she was always so annoying (and okay, she was better at Quidditch) so it really wasn't surprising that the one to find her on the floor was Scorpius Malfoy.

She mumbled something and he knew it was 'go away' but he ignored it and sat down across the hall (far enough away so she couldn't punch him).
She didn't look up and he found himself getting annoyed because she had always been oblivious to his charm and yeah, that wasn't supposed to matter, but it did okay?

He just stared for a long time and he could feel her getting annoyed and he fought the urge to smile because even if he didn't charm her he had always had this effect on her (and he didn't know why he was so damn pleased, but he was).
Eventually she looked up, and it looked like she was surprised he was still there, because she knew if he left she wouldn't have noticed (he'd always been so damn graceful).
"Piss off, Malfoy." And really, he wasn't fazed, or even particularly surprised, because they'd done this all before, so he just kept grinning.
"You know you want me around," he said, "secretly."
"Yeah," she answered, without missing a beat, "and secretly you want to be a ballerina."
"Ha ha," he replied sarcastically, wishing he knew what a ballerina was.
They lapsed into silence, trying to ignore the fact that somehow they kept doing this, and somehow they didn't rip each other's throats out at the same time.

"So, are you gonna tell me why you were blocking the hallway with your problems?" He said eventually, and maybe he saw her smile, but he couldn't be sure, which no, he wasn't bothered about at all.
"You wouldn't care."
"Maybe. Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't."
"You're a Malfoy. You wouldn't care at all." He pretends he doesn't care she hasn't noticed the five years he's spent trying his hardest not to be a Malfoy and so he just ignores her.
"I guess not." He replies, standing up and walking down the corridor, thoroughly ignoring the fact he wishes he didn't always leave like this (in the middle of arguments and way too much sarcasm).

His only consolation is that they'd done this all before and they weren't ones to change, so yeah, they'd do it again.

Yes, I know it's terrible (especially the ending- ugh) but if you review I'll love you forever.
