Hi! This is just a tiny, little, small, minute, miniscule, diminutive, miniscule, mini, pocket-sized (I could go on- but I won't.) fic I thought of one night when I was half-asleep (that's when the best things hit me like Mother's Son). Inukag, fluff, I guess Not to much explanation or story line, so just, Enjoy!!

Disclaimer: If I owned InuYasha, do you really think I would still be living in England where we have only 12 episodes and 5 manga novels (with 2 currently out of stock ' cus of re-print) ?! ): So, no I don't own InuYasha. (but don't worry I've currently watched about 90 episodes on my space yay!)

Home

Kagome and InuYasha were sat next to each other, starring into the last flames of the camp fire. Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kirara had all fallen asleep. It had been a long day and InuYasha was surprised that Kagome hadn't joined them.

He glanced across at her. He wondered what he would ever do with out her. She had made him realise that he wasn't alone in the world. She had accepted him for who he was. She had shown him that life was still worth living. InuYasha felt panic rush up inside of him. It made him fill ill. He had to know what the future had in store, even if he didn't want it.

"Kagome?" He asked attentively.

"Yes InuYasha?" She looked at him and smiled. It was one of those warm, genuine smiles- that for some reason always made him fell all warm and gooey inside. (In a good way, of course.)

"Kagome, when we've completed the jewel shard and everything, Will you go back home?" Kagome sensed the uncertainty in his voice.

"Of course, InuYasha, how can I not?" InuYasha felt like the ground had opened up beneath him and swallowed him whole. Like a weight inside of him was pulling him down. He rapidly broke eye contact and looked away. Kagome seen the sorrowful, hurt expressions on his face, but continued.

"InuYasha, here is home." He looked up at her, in confusion. She was beaming from ear to ear. Her smile, as always, reassured him.

InuYasha smiled too. A nice, care-free smile- that was so very rare for the hanyo. Nothing to over the top, just plain and almost sweet.

InuYasha charily leaned in closer and briefly but gently, brushed his lips against the soft flesh of her cheek- to show his affection and gratitude. Both blushed a deep shade of crimson, and restored eye contact with smiles in-tact. After a few moments, InuYasha put his arm around her shoulders, and Kagome rested her head on his chest- as the last ember flames, flickered and disappeared.

I told you it was short! etc, etc. Reviews welcome, I might do a few more like this, who knows! I never put 'The End' either- because you never know, and you should, 'never say never!' ( Doctor Who, quote, soz!) Squeaky12345
