A burning passion

Like the beech trees swaying in the breeze,

A slender woman sits upon the emerald lawns.

Like a peaceful dove, sleeping at ease

A lady, whose love has yet to dawn.

Many a year she has spent in solitude;

Many a year she had spent in cold;

No longer will she contend

With the lonesome spirit within her soul.

For a passion, a passion so bright

A passion so fiery, a love so warm

Her blazing soul, set alight

By a young knight, Beowulf Kadmus.

Warrior of a religious doctrine,

Committed to his blade by day,

Dedicated to his love by the moonshine,

Under Luna's pale light they say,

'We shall be together,

In death, as in life.

To live together,

Forevermore.

Sealing the promise with a maiden's kiss,

Under the stone arch and austere inside

Of a church, divine and full of bliss

The two lovers made their covenant.
