A/N: Yet another oneshot. Why? I have no idea. Anyway, this takes place at the beginning of the series, when Ed's still somewhat easily fooled and/or impressed.
Ed stared in awe at Roy's office, which was absolutely spotless and devoid of mess, the one exception being a large pile of papers on the Colonel's desk.

"You work here?" he asked excitedly. "What about me?"

Roy smirked. "You'll mostly be working in the field, but today I'm going to teach you how to do paperwork."

Ed's smile disappeared. "But that sounds boring."

"You need to know how, kid."

"Who are you calling so small he could be blown away by a light breeze?!" Ed screamed, interrupting his superior.

Roy simply raised an eyebrow. "Anyway, sit down," he said, indicating his chair. He handed the blonde a large stack of the papers. "Now, see the little line on the bottom? Sign there- but sign my name while you're at it; this is practice, after all."

Ed signed, a messy scrawl that was barely legible.

"Now, now, that won't do," Roy scolded, enjoying himself immensely. "Add a little flourish to it. Here, practice on this stack."

Half an hour later, Ed had signed every piece of paper in the room.

"Well, that'll do," Roy said, taking the papers and leaving. "You've almost got the hang of it."

Ed walked out into the staff room, nursing his aching hand. Havoc and Breda were sitting there, laughing.

"What's so funny?" he asked.

"You do realize that he just had you do his paperwork for him?" Fuery asked from the corner.

Shortly afterward, Roy's office exploded.
