A/N: I've never written a phanfic but this idea popped into my head so I thought I would write it c:

Dan hit the snooze button for the third time that morning, groaning. He knew he had to wake up, that today was the day, but to be completely honest, he was scared. He would rather sleep through the day and avoid all his issues.

There was a knock on his door. Dan sighed. He knew this was coming sooner or later. "Yes?" Dan called.

"Are you feeling okay?" Phil's worried voice came through the door.

"Yeah, fine." Dan said. He would pretend to be sick, but Phil would see right through it.

"Then get up! Today is the day!" Phil's voice sounded like he was excited, but Dan could tell that he was worried too. How could he not be? It was huge deal, and though it had seemed like a good idea at the time, it was here now, and he was scared. Anybody in their situation would be. He took a deep breath, and climbed out of bed. "I'll be ready in thirty minutes," he called out to Phil.

"Alright. I'll make some breakfast."

Dan smiled. He knew it was probably just busy work to keep from thinking about what was soon to happen, but it was still sweet.

Thirty minutes did not last long enough, and soon Dan was showered, dressed, and ready. While, as ready as he could be.

"What did you make?" Dan asked, sliding into one of the chairs.

"Pancakes." Phil smiled, and handed Dan a plate.

They both ate slowly, trying to put off their plans for the day. But soon, they had empty plates, and no more food to eat. They stacked their dishes in the sink, and Phil tried to smile encouragingly at Dan. It ended up being more of a grimace. Dan held back a laugh. They set up their camera equipment. This was it. This was the day. Dan thought to himself. It was insane really. They had been planning this for weeks, but the day was finally here.

Phil began filming with his usual 'Hi guys'. There was a pause as Phil thought about what he was going to say next. "So we have some news," Dan tensed. This was going to be so much harder than he thought.

Once Phil realized that it was clear that Dan wasn't going to say anything, he continued. "So, um, we ask you now to not, uh, freak out or anything. Or send hate mail. That would be counterproductive and childish really. No matter what your opinion is on the matter."

Dan finally spoke up. "I can't stress enough about the hate mail thing. Honestly, it makes us not even want to film videos."

"Right then. So here it is. Some of you already think this, so this may not even be a shock, but um-" Phil broke off. Dan gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. Phil continued. "We- as in Dan and I- are, well, we are together." Phil winced. "As a couple."

"Pause for fangirling." Dan joked.

"Well, now that that's out there, I'd really appreciate you guys being mature about this." Phil said, realizing it probably wouldn't happen, but a guy could dream right?

"Also, specifically to any Dangirls. Don't threaten Phil or be mean to him, or do anything that might in some way harm him. You aren't a fan of mine if you can't respect my love life choices."

Phil blinked. Dan hadn't really ever said he loved him before. But it was just a phrase. It probably meant nothing. Phil shook it off.

They ended the video. "Um, I should be able to get this edited by five tonight, then we can upload it."

"And watch the phandom explode." Dan said with a shaky smile.

"Hey. It'll be alright. We can get through this." Phil pulled Dan into a hug. Dan smiled, breathing in the familiar smell of Phil.

No matter what happened, at least he had Phil to help him through it all.
