Disclaimer: This may be a bad one shot or a good one shot. I don't know about you but I have problems with not noticing if it is well written or not until it's uploaded and people tell me. So that kind of sucks. Note that happy reviewers will be praised, constructive critism (given the right wording) will be absorbed, and flames will be opened, laughed at and trashed. Enjoy and Review!

OOPS: Before I forget please do not criticize on the length. This is all I could come up with. Thanks!

Harry paced in the Burrow's kitchen until finally the sun startled him through the window. He was still very weary, but he decided to shake it off. He had a big day ahead.

He sat down abruptly, adoring the sensuality of being the only one up. When he noticed his knee quaking he arose on his feet once again. He heard noises upstairs, which meant someone was awake. He made a bet with himself that it was Remus and smirked when he saw his old professor walk in. A shame Fred and George weren't in here; he could have won himself a couple sickels.

"Morning" Remus stated tersely. He wondered how one man could turn a polite gesture into a demand.

"Yeah…morning" Harry said curiously, sitting back down.

Remus headed towards the kitchen.

Even though Remus didn't really feel like making conversation, he added:

"Just like your mother…always up first"

Harry didn't really want to mention that he only had two hours of sleep and didn't normally wake up early on a daily basis.

"Busy day ahead" Remus continued, glasses clinking as he grabbed one from the cabinet above him.

"I guess"

Remus stared at Harry, irritation from the past few days…or maybe even months, wore down on his brows. "I guess? How you have turned into your father…spooky almost…"

Harry looked puzzled yet insanely angry that Lupin has been acting this way towards him for a while. He got that he would be sort of resentful, but he seemed to bore Harry with hatred almost. It wasn't so much his words, but his voice and exasperation.

"Why have you been this way towards me? Have I done something to upset you? Have I done something wrong? What is it?" Harry scowled.

Remus felt tears sting his eyelids as an awkward silence passed through.

"Harry, don't let me lose anyone-Dora-you…" He bit his lip and continued. "I've lost your Dad and Sirius…don't let me lose my nephew also"

Its funny how fast a facial expression can change, Harry noticed, as his annoyed snicker dropt. He stood up and looked down at Remus, touched at being called a nephew. He always thought of Remus and Sirius as Uncles but he never really heard it in full focus.

"Don't worry. I'm not going to let anything happen to anyone-and trust me, I'm not going anywhere"

They both grinned; the first smile he's seen Remus wear in a while.

They chatted about his father and his mother until Harry realized he should go change since everyone was getting up. Before he reached the stairs, however, Remus heard Harry call to him.

"You're a great Uncle…and a great friend, remember that"

After Harry ran up the narrow staircase, Remus let memories flood through him. Other than the Uncle part, and no matter how much Harry despised this saying by now, Harry looked identical to James.
