For Memoral Day, which was yesterday, please enjoy this poem.

She looked at the note in her hands and dropped it.
He was gone,

He was really, truly gone.

What a brave soul he had been.

Fighting for his country.

He had always sent her a letter,

That started Freedom Is Never Free.

My Dearest Sam,

I love you so much,

And I needed to tell you this.

We are fighting today,
And I needed to say,

That I will probally be gone.

By the time you get this letter,

They will send another

To inform you that I am gone.

Tell the girls I love them.

Tell yourself I love you.

Love, Your Forever,

Freddie

A tear escaped her eye,

As she picked up the next letter,

And started to read that.

Dear Mrs. Benson,

We regret to inform you,

That your husband has passed in the war.

Now she was bawing,

Her daughter walked in,

And read the letter, too.

The two were crying,

And remembering her father's last words.

Freedom Is Never Free

I HOPED YOU ARE CRYING! Please review if you liked it!
