This is just a silly short story that just popped into my head while I was half-asleep. Waka+Ammy 4eva! Smoochie smoochie! In all seriousness, I don't own Okami or anything in it. So, with that said, here you go!

Waka and Amaterasu sat beneath a the branches of a large tree. Waka had his arm around her, and Ammy's head was lying on his shoulder.

"Waka," Amaterasu said.

"Yes, ma chérie?" He looked down at her, "What is it?"

"Well, it's just," She avoided his gaze, "Do you love me?"

Waka raised his eyebrows at the question, "What a silly thought! Of course I do! Why do you ask?"

"I don't know, I just am getting this feeling..."

Waka sat up abruptly, "Look, I know she was cute. And hot. And she had..." Waka stared off into the distance, "Uh, never mind. And I know we spent a lot of time together, but I didn't date Rao!"

"I wasn't talking about that, I just-" Ammy looked over at him, "Wait. You dated Rao?"

"No! Of- of course not!" Waka stuttered. He muttered to himself, "It was Himiko that I officially dated."

"What did you just say?"

"Nothing!" He avoided her eyes.

"Did you just say you dated Himiko?!"

"Look, just drop it."

"Oh, I'll drop it. Right after you say that you never loved them in any way, shape, or form!"

"But-"

"Say it!"

Waka sighed, "I- I ne-"

"Come on..."

"I never-"

"Why are you stuttering? If you really loved me, you'd say it in a heartbeat!"

"Well, I just don't think it's very respectful!"

"What do you mean by that?" Amaterasu whipped around to face him, her amber-colored eyes glinting with dangerous rage.

"They're both dead!" Waka rolled his eyes at her, "Besides, you're the one to talk, ma chérie!"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh, nothing," He looked over at her pointedly, "It's just that there's been some rumors going around that you had quite a few kissy-fests with Oki!"

"What!?"

"I'm just telling you what I heard."

Amaterasu took a deep breath, "Alright. You know, just forget it."

"But-"

"I SAID FORGET IT!"

Waka leaned back against the tree once more, "Tres bien."

Ammy smiled at him, "Would you be so kind as to play your flute?"

He smiled back, "But of course, mon ami."

Waka pulled out his flute and began to play. The notes echoed across the Celestial Plain, seeming to melt all hostilities until Waka stopped playing, abruptly.

"What is it, Waka?"

"Is that where you sneak off to? To go hang out with Oki?"

Amaterasu shook her head and smiled, "Oh, Waka."

He started to play again, but stopped again shortly, "No, I mean it!"

"Just play the flute, Waka. Just play the flute."

Poor, poor, insecure Waka. And having to put up with an insecure goddess like that? Must be torture. I apologize for making you go through that, both of you. My half-asleep brain is the real torturer here. Just wait till next time. BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!
