Wood Elf Legolas
Wood elf Legolas looked out, at the beasts and heathens,
Then fired arrows round about, deep and crisp and even.
Brightly shone the moon that night, though the frost was cruel,
When a dumb orc came in sight legolas shot dead the fool.
Hither wraith and fight with me, if thou feelest lucky,
But take heed this fellowship is bravely strong and plucky.
There they fought throughout the night most best of all was Merry,
Or possibly twas Sam Gamgee, who beat the orcs with cutlery.
"Bring it flesh and bring it wine!" (these things were for the cave troll,
F'rif twas not fed twould run amok and cause quite an orc death toll).
But these things were not required for Legolas had crept
Up and had drawn an elven blade and slain it whilst it slept.
