I do not own Inuyasha or any of the characters...Sadly TT
Why? Why did life have to be such a bitch? As he looked at the fresh grave in front of him all he could do was stare at the life that had been so cruelly cut short. He should have done something he knew that, talk to her, comfort her. He only hoped that she knew just how sorry he was for what he had been forced to do to her and that she was in a happier place instead of the hell she left. As he looked around he could see people crying and talking about the girl whose body lay beneath their feet, even kikyo that bitch was crying, but even he could tell they weren't real, why would they be she hated the girl with everything she was. He can remember the distinct look of fear and betrayal in her eyes that one time when he stabbed her in the hands, he never wanted to do it and he hoped as he looked into her eyes that she would understand that, as some conformation passed through her own eyes he knew she did. He should have told her how he felt, the fact had been he was in love with her. No one else had noticed how she was getting, she looked so thin and frail at the end not even her own mother had done anything, but he could of and he hated himself for it.
This was it, the fate that was soon to await him, as he went over to comfort Sango he couldn't help but release the tears that had been bottled up inside for so long. The look on Sango's face and in her eyes knew that she was aware of what this was doing to him as well, which helped as they both embraced and cried for the loss of their friend. As the people started to filter out and the tears finally began to dry in thin trails on their faces, he knew she had something to say.
"Wha...what's up Sango?"
"It's nothing it's just, i don't understand why she did this? Why...why couldn't she have waited and gotten help?"
"We'll never know...but at least she isn't in pain anymore Sango you know how much she was suffering right?"
"HOW COULD I NOT KNOW?" Sango shouted tears once again falling from her eyes as she once again broke down. "But why...why didn't she just ask...ask for my help"
"She was one of those people who don't want to burden anyone with her problems, why do you think she didn't even tell her own mother! Poor lady had to find out the hard way" he said shaking his head.
"I...i..." was all he could get from Sango as they were both struggling to control the emotions that were washing over both of them. "I don't know what to do anymore..."
"Shhh...come on let me walk you home, you need to rest before you make yourself ill again" he didn't really know what else to do, he was just about ready to collapse as well but he knew that wherever Kagome was she was watching them and she wouldn't be happy if he let Sango get ill so he gently helped her walk home, but before he did he turned and took one look at the grave and he smiled, because he could of sworn he had seen a shadowy figure of a girl, all in white with a bright smile on her face, if that was Kagome coming to say goodbye...she was finally happy...and safe.
Sorry for the lame ending but was actually making myself upset enjoy xx
