A/N: I was in a creative writing mood, and yes it is morbid, but a good piece of work. And no this has no connection to me. It just came to me…hope you read, tell me what you think please.

A Reason For Everything

She only wanted to be loved

Truly

She wanted to feel a man wrap his arms around her and tell her everything would be okay

She wanted a man to whisper sweet nothings in her ear until dawn broke onto the horizon

She wanted to fall asleep knowing that she was safe in someone's arms

She only wanted to be loved

It was too late for that

Too late

She was alone

Simply

There was once a time in which she was loved

By many people who would kiss at her feet

By one man who was only a dream

But that was long before this day

Long before her heart was cold

Long before she ever realized that people didn't love her

They feared her

They cowered at her name

They bowed to hide the fear in their eyes

She was never loved

She was tricked into thinking so

She was too innocent

Too loving

Too giving

Too naïve

But damn them!

Damn them for leading her to believe that there really was something out there for her

That she could

Would

Find love

But she found out quickly enough that love doesn't come to those that wait

For those that wait

The realization of love is snatched

Unceremoniously away

There is no truth to love

It is lies

Lies

Lies

LIES!

They lied to her

And for it they will pay

And they did

Her wrath and carnage lay around her

But still her heart is bitter

Why couldn't they all have just loved her?

But no

They feared her from the beginning

They feared her in the end

They feared her as she raise her twin pistols and

BANG!

BANG!

They feared her no more

In fact they loved her for

They no longer feared her

She smiled

And turned away

Coming face to face with her dream

His golden soft hair

His deep blue eyes

His smooth tan skin

His wide lush mouth

He was here

Now when he wasn't before

It was his fault she died

His fault she realized that no one loved her

His fault everyone was dead

Her heart skipped a beat

But still it was cold

Bitter

Hateful

Vengeance had left its mark

He stared

Confusion is his eyes

"What have you done?"

She only smiled

And brought her pistol up to her head

The still silence was broken

Birds fled from the trees

Muffling the sound of the crashing waves

She fell into his arms

Finding solace

Finding love at last
