I used to think I was normal. Well, normal-ish. Until I found out I was a daughter of a god. A half-blood. Whatever you want to call it. One minute I was studying biology and the next I knew I was fighting a bunch of monsters alongside a grumpy son of Hades. Yeah, we should probably get back to that.

„C'mon hit it, kick it, anything!" , he yelled.

„Well I'm trying! It's my first time holding a sword!" I yelled back.

„Okay then! New plan! Run!"

And we ran.

We somehow managed to escape those creatures.

„What…were those?" I asked breathlessly.

„Storm spirits. Don't let them fool you. They can be quite dangerous. Come on, we have to keep going."

„Right. Wait! Where are we even going?" I asked.

He glared at me for a second and then replied: „Camp Half-Blood. A place where you belong."

„Do you belong there?"

He turned around with a wistful face and said one sad little word:

„No."

„Why is that?" He sighed.

„You ask way too many questions."

A few seconds after his answer I heard him murmur a few more words.

„What?" I asked.

„I said, hurry up. Our ride is near by."

„Our ride..wow." I was expecting a van or a car. Or even a taxi. But definitely not this.

„Is that…?" I couldn't even form a sentence.

„Pegasi, yeah. They're a bit uneasy around me, but I think we'll be fine. This is Guido and Blackjack."

I smiled timidly at the two pegasi while he introduced them. „Haha."

„What?" he asked tapping his foot impatiently.

„This might sound weird, but I could swear Blackjack told me he doesn't like you because you smell weird and that he would prefer me riding with him." He pinched the bridge of his nose.

„But that's impossible. Right?"

„…right."

We got on the horses and began our(hopefully short) flight. I knew he wasn't telling me everything, but I wasn't going to push him on that subject. It seemed rather painful for him. But that doesn't mean I wasn't going to push him at all.

„So what's your name?" Yes a rather original first question I know, but an important nonetheless.

„Nico. Nico di Angelo."

„I'm Isabelle Reed. Nice to meet you." I held out a hand for him to shake.

He looked at it skeptically. „Yeah. Whatever."

„Okay…" , I said as I lowered my hand, „so I can see you're not really a people's person."

„Oh really, what gave it away?" he asked sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes. „Whatever Gloomy, no need to get arrogant."

„What did you just call me?!"

„Umm…Gloomy?" I played dumb.

„I am a son of Hades! I can raise the dead! Everybody is afraid of me!" , he continued in a dark, mysterious and (very) scary voice, „You should be as well."

The only thing I could muster was: „You can really do that?" I sounded weaker than i wanted to.

Nico realized his slip-up all to late. He just told a girl he barely knows his most powerful ability. „Just…go to sleep. I'll wake you up when we arrive."

„Fine", I replied, „and just so you know, I'm not afraid of you."

He snorted. „Oh please. You wish."

„I wish for you to be my friend."

„Too bad wishes don't come true."

So this is my new PJ/HoO fanfiction. The main character is an OC, sorry (not sorry) and the story is about her arrival at Camp Half-Blood and the mission she goes on after that. I don't know how long this story will be but you can expect 15+ chapters. I hope you like it, please follow, favorite and review if you do. Bye!
