dean exhaled slowly and slumped back into the couch. he turned his head to the right and pensively gazed into castiel's eyes.
"are you not worried about your brother, dean?" castiel returned the seriousness.
"look, cas. I have to let him grow up. if he says he needs a couple days to himself then he gets them."
dean was aware that it had been over a week since he had seen Sam, and mulled it over in his head as he turned to face forward. he was about to tell cas he was right when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"cas, wh-" before dean could finish his sentence, castiel was at his lips. dean immersed himself in the ecstasy of being touched by a mortal angel and allowed castiel to move on top of him.
just as dean's curious fingertips began to probe under castiel's shirt, there was a loud, crashing noise from the bathroom of the motel room.
they pulled apart fast as dean reached for the shotgun.
the bathroom door flung open and in a ray of white light, out stepped a girl appearing, dean guessed, around 19 or 20. her wavy white hair twisted its way past flawless skin, icy blue eyes, and fiery red lips to meet an edgy leather jacket and sassy boots clinging to a perfect physique.
dean was taken back by the appearance of the stranger and couldn't find words.
"solara" said cas, quietly, with an expression of astonishment on his face.
"little brother," said the stranger.
"great, another angel. that explains why you couldn't just knock" said dean.
"seraphim," said cas. "the highest order of angels." he turned to dean. "dean, this is solara. the fire of god. my big sister." he turned back to face solara.
"why are you here?" he asked.
solara smirked. "father sent me."
"he's...alive?" castiel's eyes widened.
"of course. but he hasn't been able to act, not directly anyway. lucifer made it very difficult for god to intervene on earth when he killed the new messiah four years ago."
dean was confused.
"wait a second. so god is alive, but he can't intervene, because there was a new messiah? like a new Jesus?" he asked.
"exactly like a new Jesus. a new immaculate conception," replied solara. "and lucifer killed his mother while he was in the womb."
"so why are you here?" asked cas.
"azure visited 9 months ago to deliver a third messiah. i am here to assure the child fulfills his destiny."
cas and dean exchanged intense looks. they both motioned toward solara, but she broke the silence first.
"obviously, castiel, I need your help."
"why is god sending the seraphim to earth? his throne could be in jeopardy without you." asked cas.
at that moment there was a knock on the door. dean peeked through the peephole and quickly opened the door.
Sam strode in and threw his bag and the impala keys down on the bed.
"so i found a clue to-" he looked up and saw solara. he was mystified by her beauty and stumbled over his next words.
"de..cas...hi, you are..?"
castiel chimed in. "Sam, this is solara, one of the eight seraphim, the highest order of angels. she is the fire of god, and my big sister. a new messiah is about to be birthed and she is here to ensure his survival."
"wh..okay. uh, messiah..like Jesus?"
solara rolled her eyes. "yes, exactly. and I need castiel's help to locate the child."
