The ice in this heart was surrounding him. It had surrounded his old soul since 1917 when he found he had no one to live for. He had secured his heart from the petty vampires that's main desire was love.
Love, they didn't know love. Love didn't exist till he saw her, till he looked into her eyes and saw the swirls of chocolate brown. He didn't have the ability to look away from her. He didn't have the ability to not be close to her. When he tried it was if all the emotions he had felt before vanished. They were replaced by hate. She was his living hell. She smelled so good. He couldn't love her. No love didn't exist, not without consequence that is.
His heart was fogging over with every innocent glance she threw his way. He had come to a conclusion. She truly was his nightmare come to life; this was his punishment for being a Vampire. She was here and she was looking at me with those eyes. She didn't know how she affected me, how much she melted the ice I put my heart in.
She looked into my eyes, I knew what she saw. She saw topaz turning black with every passing second. She saw a Monster in love.
I saw a complete difference in her eyes. I saw warmth in the brown swirls. I saw innocence under those lashes. I saw a heart of gold and unconditional love. I saw her for who she was and I could not taint her with my animalistic nature.
She was meant to be untouched. She was meant to be loved and she was meant to be human. I was not right for her. I could not hurt her.
Her eyes captivated me; they swirled in my own eyes dazzling me. My beautiful, beautiful Bella.
