I do not own Harry Potter or anything associated with this wonderful world, nor do I wish to. *nose grows* Okay fine, I do wish it was mine... Who doesn't?

Enjoy!

I was climbing into a taxi and was about to close the door behind me when someone grabbed the door from the outside.

"Could we share a cab?" a female voice asked me, barely audible over the pouring rain. "I'm going to Stockwell."

"Sure," I said, moving over to make space for the stranger, "I'm going the same way."

The woman climbed in closing her umbrella behind her.

"Thanks," she said, looking up at me. It was only then that I realized that the woman was none other than Hermione Granger. She had definitely grown since our time at Hogwarts.

"Hey!" I said with a huge smile, offering my hand to her.

She shook my hand laughing slightly at my enthusiasm.

"Hi. It's nice to meet you. I'm Hermione."

"Wait, what?" I asked, surprised by the introduction.

"Is there something wrong with that?" she asked.

"Um, no. It's just that-" I didn't know what to say. I couldn't believe she didn't remember me. "Uh, it's nothing."

"Okay then," Hermione said still smiling. "Are you going to tell me your name?"

"You don't already know it? I'm Harry Potter, vanquisher of he-who-must-not-be-named. Ring any bells?" I asked.

Hermione just gave me a look.

"Harry Potter is one of my best friends; I think I know what he looks like. And anyways, I was just with him."

I let myself crack a smile.

"Wow, you know Harry Potter. That's cool."

"Not really," Hermione said, "So you're a wizard then?"

I nodded.

"It's unfortunate that we've never met before," she continued, "You seem like a really nice person."

I just gave her a small smile.

"This is my street," I said stopping the driver. "It was nice meeting you Ms. Granger."

"You too," she said as I got out of the cab.

Heading for my apartment I let out a sad sigh.

"Good evening Albert," I said to the doorman as I entered the building.

"Same to you, Mr. Longbottom."
