A shadow fell over the world. Obito remained calm however, for he had tried this once already and was aware of this process. He waved his hand through the darkness and felt nothing. This process still fascinated him. Hm. Perhaps he shouldn't call it darkness? Obito briefly thought about it. Darkness has a tangible characteristic. You can feel through the dark and everything would still exist. Nothing is completely gone in darkness. This was more like a void.

Next came the silence. The sound of the breeze whistling around him, the rattling of the leaves on the trees; it all stopped abruptly. Obito wriggled his fingers. He could not feel anything. All sensation in his body was completely lost. He could not feel the ground beneath him. It was as if he were suspended in mid air. Obito tried moving his hands to the front of his face. He could not see them. His body had completely disappeared. However, he did not panic. This was all familiar to him.

He tried saying his name. Nothing. Just as he expected.

Although his body had disappeared, his mind still existed. It wouldn't be long before he emerged from this void.

A tingling sensation sprouted in his fingers. The sensation traveled up his arm, into his chest, then permeated through the rest of his body until he could feel again. Obito could hear the soft breeze and rattling of trees again, the sound very sharp in his ears. He looked down - or where he thought was down - to where his body should be. He watched patiently as his body began to appear, section by section. First his legs, then waist, and it continued this way until his body reappeared. He looked straight forward. The void around him began to fade. Images of trees and other surroundings began to appear. The images were crisp; he could see every detail. The void was gone. He found himself stepping onto the grass, but in a different area this time. Obito looked back over his shoulder. He had traveled a far distance forward, just as he intended. The Kamui transported him to his desired location.

Being suspended in nothingness for just a moment wasn't all that bad when he thought about it. It was actually worth it.

This is it. He had learned both skills of the Kamui - intangibility and teleportation - and he was capable of controlling both.

Good. These skills will prove to be quite useful in the future.
