Because for once she's just a girl.
They don't know the significance behind her family name- well, not the one she uses, anyway.
They don't know why she flinches whenever she hears the term 'ice princess.'
They don't know why her gaze follows Luke Skywalker, but she can laugh off any implication that she desires him.
But she knows.
She is free- of her past, of her fear, of her decision to be that girl- that ice princess. And now she never has to be again.
This is on my original character- Jenna. She has a very, very long backstory, but suffice to say she's a itch, and, at the moment, in the Rebellion.
She's very standoffish- at least back at Hogwarts- due to her family. (Unearned bad reputation) Here, she's free, and she's celebrating it.
