That day was the end. I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that she was leaving. After over eight years of her being a constant in my life, I couldn't understand that tomorrow she wouldn't be there.

She had just announced it. The world seemed to spin around me, slowly going faster and faster, until she broke the silence.

"I-" Ziva began to say. I shook my head slowly. Her dark hair cascaded down her back, like a waterfall.

"No." I said simply. I never imagined her to be ripped from my life like this. With no…explanation. Kate had left this world, as soon as I had had time to figure out how I felt about her. But Ziva? I have never felt this way about anyone before. I learned soon enough that it was love. McGee knew. He seemed to know that something like this was going to happen, and he warned me.

"I have to go." Ziva said, stressing the second word.

But why? Not for Eli, nor Ray.

"Ziva…" I muttered, taking a step towards her. She slowly cups her hand around my face. I lean in. Her face meets mine, and she softly kisses the corner of my mouth. Then without meeting my eyes she turns around and walks in the direction of the elevator. I look her over and notice one thing. She wore dark cargo pants and a jacket, alike the very first time I met Ziva David.

I followed her quickly to the elevator, and I spotted McGee standing in the shadows by the window. He seemed to stare at me sadly. My body passed through the elevator doors just as they were closing. She doesn't look at me, but I still watch her. The elevator ride was silent. I carefully reach over to hold her hand. It seemed like an eternity, but I wanted it to last. Finally, the doors open. Ziva turns her head and smiles at me. She moves out of the lift, and into the parking garage. We glance towards each other every so often, but our gazes lock as she enters her car.

I didn't want to think about the fact that this was my good-bye to Ziva David.

A/N: This is my view on Ziva's parting from NCIS. There are two more chapters, one in McGee's point of view, and the last in Tony's again.

Sorry it was short.
