Day Dream: A New Crush: Saturday night, out with the girls at Star Skate. Me, Brianna, Shanice, Cierra, Vanessa, Nikki, and Kiah out on the dance floor, having the time of our lives, it was a party at the skate way tonight. We picked the perfect place to celebrate her birthday. We have never seen Star Skate so hyped, it was incredible. We were dancing the night away, looking around and we seen all the sexy fellas around, til' someone familiar caught my eye.
"Hey Cici", I called Cierra.
"Yeah"., she answered.
"Does he look familiar to you?" I asked.
"I don't think so Sky, but he sure is fine," Cierra says.
"I think he goes to school with us", Brianna cuts in.
"He does?" Shocked. "What's his name?"
"I think his name is Duane, he plays football", Brianna answered.
I take a gaze at him as we walk by, then as I finish looking around, my ex-, Nick, was watching me, staring me down cold. What a terrific girls night out, the music was crunk. As I danced all night, I had noticed Duane took a glance at me, I glanced back.
Star Skate had finally closed. The girls and I walked outside to the cars, everyone all over the parking lot, in their own groups, cliques, some people were posting up on the walls. Duane had parked a couple spaces down, across from us. Duane and two of his homeboys, Derrick and Rome. They all were Juniors, like ourselves. Romeo had yelled to Nikki, they were supposedly talking as a couple. He came over, Duane and Derrick followed. "Hey Ladies", he said to everyone. He hugged Nikki so tight, like he didn't want to let her go. Rome hugged everyone, said hi', and so did Duane. We all got acquainted that night. It was the night some of us may never forget.
