Author's Note: Here's another Winnara story for all the fans out there! Did everyone see the phenomenal trailer for season 2?

Disclaimer: The dress idea was mine… but Supergirl and my brief reference to a Princess Bride (tell me if you picked it up before you found out who he had dressed as!)

I have always thought masked balls are weird. People dance together, and they don't even know who they're dancing with, because everyone's wearing a mask! I have enough trouble with 1 secret identity- why must I have another, even if it's just for a night?

2 reasons, actually. Cat wanted me here (more like "Kira you better come to the masked ball or you're fired!), and Alex said it was a great way to meet guys.

Walking in, I wondered if I could recognize James or Winn, and if they were even there. I was wearing this long, silver gown, with my hair in a high bun, and a silver vail over my face. I could see, but no one could see me.

It was kind strange. I didn't recognize anyone, and no one recognized me. Everyone was a stranger. Standing there, being the wallflower I always am at parties, I tried to guess who everyone was. I thought I saw Cat... maybe Derek... I wasn't sure.

Then a young man about my height approached. He was all dressed in black- black boots; black pants; black tunic-like shirt; black belt; black mask.

"Who are you?" I asked when he gave a old fashioned bow.

"I'm not someone to be trifled with."

"Gotcha." I still didn't know who he was.

The man laughed a laugh that sounded vaguely familiar. "I'm Westley, or "the man in black", from "the Princess Bride". Who are you?"

I shrugged. "I don't really know. I just kinda threw this costume together."

The mysterious man gave another bow, "Care to dance?"

I giggled. "Sure!" I took the offered arm, and was spun around the room in a breathtaking coordination of movements. I could not for the life of me figure out who this charming young man was, but I was determined to get his name out of him before the evening was over.

After the song finished, the man leaned over and whispered. "Care to go outside?"

At my nod, we stepped into the warm night air. I decided to try my luck. "Who are you?"

"No one of consequence." At my odd look the man laughed, a warm, happy sound. "Sorry, another quote."

Though I realized he had avoided my question yet again, I decided to let him off the hook... this time.

"So, do you work at CatCo?" I asked, changing tactics.

"Yeah."

I grinned under my veil. "What job do you do?"

"I work with some of the technology. And that's all I'm telling you."

"Oh, I have a friend who's an IT guy- maybe you know him?"

"Maybe I do. It would certainly help me if I knew his name."

"Winn. Winn Schott."

"Hmmm... yeah, I think I know him. He has the desk that's close to Mrs. Grant's office, doesn't he?"

"Yeah!" I slipped my arm through his. "I'll tell you who I am if you tell me who you are."

"That's not much of a deal, considering that I already know who you are." The young man gazed into my eyes, making me feel slightly dizzy with excitement.

"You- you do?" I murmured, leaning closer.

"Uh huh. Kara. Kara Danvers." I must have looked surprised, because the mysterious man laughed again. "It's really quite obvious."

I reached up a hand to place it on his shoulder and closed my eyes as he leaned down and... stopped. Pulled back and stepped away. My eyes flew open, and saw a embarrassed, sad look on his face.

"I- we- you wouldn't want me to if you knew..." The man stuttered.

I couldn't take it anymore, and in a few quick motions his black mask was off, and the familiar face of Winn looked back at me.

"Winn! I- what?!"

Winn looked at his feet. "You see why I didn't want you to know?"

"But this makes it ok!" I exclaimed, making him look up in complete shock. "Now, I won't be kissing a stranger."

"You- you won't be.. huh?" I cut him off with a kiss.
