Recovered from the audio-logs of recently-deceased and famed natural disaster –I MEAN ecological savant, Sir Steve Darwin.
The wilds of Minecraftia are vast and unique; my map did not cover them all in any detail. Seeking to remedy this, I decided to venture from my quaint abode in the trees of the southeastern swamps to the ruggedness of the north. To do this, I had first to cross the frozen hills to the north and west, in which I encountered... peculiar wildlife.
They seemed to be as men, only pale green and sickly, emitting deep moaning sounds traditionally associated with the recently undead
- AYE! I mistook a shadow for a blasted Creeper! -
After eliminating these creatures, I traveled to the northeast, where I found temperate forests and red mushrooms with white spots, quite unlike the kind seen back home or in the neighboring Mooshroom Island...
- AGH! A damned skeleton armed with a bow nearly sealed my doom! At least I now have more arrows-
From here, I moved west, as I had spotted large mountains from which I thought I might gain a better view. As I climbed these steep cliffs I came to the realization the only way back down aside from whence I had come, was a straight plunge into the vast lakes below. And so, I leaped. The water smacked me yet it only stung for a while, as my adrenaline kept me going strong.
I then found a large cave, and proceeded to investigate. Through the mountain I found an exit, with a daring bound to another cave my only escape. Yet I saw more of the green monsters, two of them in fact!
I gauged the distance, took a running start, and jumped! I crashed into one of the foul beasts, knocking him off the ledge, leaving it a one on one with the survivor. This duel I won with handy sword work.
Rounding on the other beast, I quickly decapitated it, when suddenly another of them fell in on us! Heaving the thing off of me, I stripped it from life with a few deft sword strokes
This left me with little time until nightfall. I knew it was best if I would retreat to the safety of a cave or something of the like, to provide me shelter from the denizens of the midnight hours. And so I found my cave, where I presently find myself.
- OH DEAR ANOTHER CREEPER! *BOOM* Woo… I barely managed to survive that one. -
I find myself wounded, and a hole in my wall is leaking copious amounts of water from a nearby lake, so I speculate I must move on.
Abandoning my temporary home, I slowly progressed back southwards. I found myself again on top of sheer-cliffed mountain tops, only this time they crawled with horrible beasts.
My trusty bow and sword at my side, I made battle upon these foes until my victory had been won. I found myself nearly out of arrows, so thought it best to slink back to home without further attention.
This was not done that easily, however, as with my previous injuries I found myself stumbling as I went over bump after bump going along the cliffs in an effort to reach flat land.
Some bangs and bruises later; I am now on an icy lake, a small glacier my only safe haven.
-Sometime later—
Sprinting through the snowy forest to make the final push home, I am surrounded by teeming hordes of monsters. I am beset on all sides by Creepers, zombies, and skeleton archers. None of this will slow me down for a minute!
My provisions run low; I am getting hungry on this, the final leg. But fear not, I shall prevail!
At last! The familiar yellow glow of man-made light glistens ahead in the waning moonlight!
And now, my home returned, map complete, and stomach filled, I shall use the remaining morning for much needed slumber.
