Chapter 1.

Mercury Aquila was running. The police were on his tale, closing in fast. He ducked behind and abandoned warehouse building and watched all 6 run past.

He breathed a sigh of relief, but it was short lived. He had to face the consequences of what he'd done. He'd have to tell his father.

Mercury's father and mother were both astronomers, hence the name. He hated it. ; Mercury Orion Aquila. As if he didn't get teased enough.

And that's exactly why he was here, crouched behind a dirty warehouse hiding from police. Because it had all been too much for him. Mercury thought he was pretty mellow tempered but the weeks of bulling had all gotten to a breaking point.

His auburn hair was plastered to his forehead with sweat as he thought about his actions. Did he act rashly? Could he of handled it better? The simple answer: Yes.

He stood quickly, making his head spin and the blood rushed to it and he had to stand still for a second before he could start running again.

When he reached his house, he could sense something was wrong. The light in his dads study was on though the land rover he drove wasn't in the driveway, there were footprints in the otherwise perfectly preserved dust on the path leading up to the front door.

Oh and the great big roll of " CRIME INVESTIGATION DO NOT CROSS" tape that surrounded the perimeter of the house.
