Namine put down her pencil and admired her drawing.
A picture of a silver, heart-shaped, full moon.
She gently touched the drawing, feeling smooth, dry paper, but wished to feel smooth dry
silver hair.
I don't want a lot for Christmas
She listened to the calm words flowing from her boom box.
She felt as if these words expressed her love life.
There's just one thing I need
Then, she heard a knock on her door.
"Namine?" a voice from the other side said.
Riku.
"One sec!" Namine called.
She stuffed the drawing under her pillow, and called Riku to come in.
He walked in and sat on the bed next to her.
"what's up?" she asked.
"I want to ask you something." Riku replied.
Namine listened.
"Namine, what do you want for Christmas?"
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
Namine had thought hard, and long about this question, for the past few days of the month, but she couldn't come up with an answer.
"Come on, you can tell me." Riku said. Apparently, he wasn't leaving without an answer.
"nothing" Namine replied.
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
"Nothing?" Riku replied.
Namine sheepishly nodded.
Riku smirked.
"Not even this?" and with that, he broke the gap between their lips.
Make my wish come true...
When they finally broke apart, Namine was no redder than a ripe tomato.
"……maybe." She replied.
Riku smiled. "You're so cute."
He pulled her close.
"Merry Christmas Namine."
All I want for Christmas…..
"I love you, Riku."
"I love you Namine."
Is you...
