What Chiron probably was going through, at the arrival of Jason, Piper and Leo at Camp Half-Blood.
Chiron was waiting for Annabeth in the Big House. He too was worried for Percy, but Annabeth seemed to be going crazy looking for him. Chiron knew that he had to step in and make her eat or get some sleep. Unlike the other campers, she was that one who lived here the longest. Taking care of her from age seven had softened her towards Chiron. She was almost like a daughter to him.
After Annabeth had her dream from Hera, Chiron was hoping she found Percy. Gleeson had send them the signal saying that there were two powerful half-bloods too. He hoped she was able to get all of them to safety. But he couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something deeper to it. Something more ominous than a lost camper. Also, Percy was one of his best campers. Nothing small would be able to capture him, if he was captured. Chiron made the three finger claw over his heart, hoping that was not what had happened.
Percy had been unlike any other camper Chiron had ever had. Unlike the other heroes, Percy was humble and incredibly loyal to his friends. Chiron hadn't believed his ears when he heard that Percy had asked the gods to remember their children, as his gift from the gods. No one Chiron taught had been that selfless.
Suddenly he heard a huge commotion outside. Then a huge Splash! He winced, wondering internally if someone had been injured.
He walked forward, towards his wheelchair. He preferred to meet all new campers in his wheelchair, so as to not give them too much of a shock, but on the way, his hooves got tangled in a bunch of vines. Mr. D and his stupid grapes, he thought to himself. He tried to lift his hooves, to untangle himself from the vines which seemed intent upon trapping him.
Seymour growled. Chiron reached for the Snausages from the table nearby and tossed one into his mouth. Seymour snapped it up, licking his lips.
Chiron focused back on trying to break off the stems, but they seemed stronger than copper. He sighed to himself and began untangling his hooves one by one. After what seemed like ages, he got all of his hooves untangled. Mr. D in his strange sense of humour had added the vines and the whole fruit garden. Chiron thought that it was a pain, but he very well couldn't say it to his face. He sighed to himself.
Suddenly he could hear faint voices from outside. "So who's your godly parent?" a female voice asked. Probably Drew's, Chiron thought. No one else could have that persuasive a voice.
Chiron understood that she was probably talking to a new camper. Well, he thought to himself. No time to get into my wheelchair. He decided to meet the kid in full horse mode. Hopefully he wouldn't give that kid a heart attack. He trotted towards the steps. "Chiron," called Drew. "This is Jason and he's totally awesome!" He rounded the corner to see someone almost falling back in shock. He began to smile to himself, because he had probably given this kid a mini heart attack. Then he saw who it was.
He stopped in his tracks, standstill. "You...You should be dead!" he blurted out. Because standing in front of him was Jason.
Jason Grace.
Hope you guys liked it!
