Please read and review. I own nothing except the character of Lyrea and the story idea.
I stared at the door. It would take about 2 seconds to run out it and escape. But, who said I wanted to escape? My name is Lyrea O'flare, and I am...a little unusual. You'll see what I mean...
My godfather came into the room, wearing a nice tuxedo, nicer than how he usually dresses (and he always dresses nice), his green eyes glinting in the faint light, ready for his meeting. He was, after all, the supreme leader of the Anti-fairies. "Hi Dad." I said, glaring at his elegant clothing. It was late at night, way past my own curfew. "Oh, Lyrea. I didn't know you were awake…you should be in bed dear." Anti-Cosmo said in his usual british accent. Oh how I loved my new father's accent. It seemed pleasant to me, a lot like my real father's. He removed his monocle and poofed up a small handkerchief. With this, he wiped the smears off his eyepiece, making it look shiny and new. He placed it back over his eye. "I know, but I wanted to say goodbye." I said in a whisper, trying hard not to wake up my godmother. If she knew I was up, she'd flip. "Yes, well I tried to not wake you up. You weren't even supposed to know about my meeting." He poofed up a watch and scowled at the time. "Oh, dear. I am already late. Sweetheart, I have to go. I will see you in the morning. Now go to bed." He said, opening the door. "Bye Dad! See you tomorrow. Oh, and good luck with…umm…whatever you're doing up there!" I called quietly. "Ta-ta, my precious one. See you when you wake!" he replied as he left. I walked up the stairs of the castle I now called home, up to my bedroom. I had everything I wanted of course, as Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda were happy to grant my wishes. I had animals. My life was creatures. I had many different exotic varieties of fish, a rat, 3 mice, a hawk, a snake, a gecko, 2 cats, and most impressive of all, a dragon. My room was blue of course. Which was fine, because that was my favorite color anyway. My favorite part of my room though at night was my nightlight. It was an awesome thing, sort of a disco ball type thing that shot lights of blue and black and red all across the room. I enjoyed every part of the castle though, especially at night. And I loved to go exploring. I settled down into bed, trying to dream of me and my father's game of "Destroy the Trees" yesterday.
Anti-Cosmo poofed into the meeting room, where all his fellow anti-fairies were waiting for him. "Good news, my associates. I am sure you are all aware that we won the Fairy Olympics and earned godchildren. Someone raise your hand if you do not have one yet." None of the fairies raised their hands. "I have destroyed Timothy Turner, for he would never accept me. I've found a more suitable godchild, one who accepts me more than her own parents. Her name is Lyrea."
Hope you enjoyed the first chapter. More will be coming soon, I promise! Please review!
