For those of you following my crossover story: expect the update starting from tomorrow :)

Moon

As she sat on her bed and watched the moon, Kamishiro Rio wondered what she was doing with her life.

The war had ended with them losing their powers and becoming human, which wasn't really that big of a deal for most of them. Herself, her brother and Vector (who had spent a longer time period as humans), Alit and Gilag (a bit shorter) and Durbe and Misael (who had barely next to no time in the Human world prior to the war) were all living together under the same roof, the Kamishiro mansion where she and Ryoga had lived for the majority of their human lives in this timeline.

Rio stood up and walked over to her window and looked up at the moon, the place where Misael had said that he died.

She couldn't understand why she was thinking about his death more than Durbe's (oh good, old Durbe - he had sacrificed himself for her, just for her to horribly fail... yet he had somehow forgiven her in the short time they all started to live together) or IV's (also another person who had attempted to save her, the only thank you she had given him for that was the scar he now bore on his face) or even Vector's from what her brother had told her. Vector had seen the wrong he had done and died right in front of Yuma's eyes (than again, few of them didn't and it broke her heart seeing the tiny boy - no, child - looking at them everyday, uncertain of whatever he was dreaming, of whatever they were all still alive - she could see it in his eyes whenever she meets him these days, whenever he clings to Ryoga's arm in a desperate attempt to keep him there, to never let go..) regretting all of his past actions.

So why exactly was she thinking about his death, when she had so many more pressing matters to think about?

The moon slightly glowed as the former Empress leaned her face against the glass and thought...

... why?

Please don't eat me!
