Of course, I don't own the characters. They were created by Homer and perfected by Eric Bana and Saffron Burrows. I'm not making money off of this, blah, blah, blah.
Andromache's Vision
Last night, I had a dream
A dream of a life without you.
I awoke each morning with the sun's rising.
I ate food and I drank water.
I walked through the day with my eyes tightly shut.
I smiled at strangers.
I hugged my friends.
I kissed my family.
I thanked the gods for your life.
I cursed the gods for your death.
I begged the gods to take me, to let me be with you.
I cried on my pillow as Apollo hid the sun.
I sang myself to sleep and dreamed of your face and called out your name
until the sun rose again, beginning another day in my life without you.
Kiss my eyes, my love.
Let your lips wipe away these visions from my sight.
Hold me to your chest,
So that the sound of your heart beating can drown out the sound of my tears.
Whisper your love in my ear
That my grieving heart may beat again,
Knowing that my terrible dream was only a dream.
You are real.
And you shall never leave me,
Will you?
