One Person

Hetalia Academy. A beautiful private high school in America for the diverse and multicultural world; students coming from Germany to Romania and so on. The school is relatively quiet and 'normal'. A lot say it would be better without their annoying class clown; an American named Alfred. F. Jones.

Nobody likes him. He's obnoxious and annoying; getting attention in any way possible. Everyone thought it was because he was selfish but in truth, with his parents dead; Alfred was alone. He wanted friends and people to care, a person; he just wasn't trying in the right way. Alfred lived knowing there'd be no one.

~?~?~?~?~

"Another failed test Jones," Mr. Roderick sneered; hoping to get a rise from the annoying student.

Alfred shrugged unconcernedly and Roderick growled. "Class, one at a time; stand and state what you dislike about Mr. Jones," Roderick smirked.

Alfred acted uncaring as one at a time; everyone stood and said something hateful and untrue or true about him. On the outside, Alfred didn't care; on the inside, he as crying. So there really was no one. Alfred silently told himself; this was his last day of school.

"Stop!"

Alfred, along with everyone else, jumped and looked to the back of the classroom. It was the English Honor Student, Arthur Kirkland; determination and rage burning in his eyes.

"Stop; this isn't right! You can't just talk about him like that!" he shouted; shocking Alfred.

"Alfred has his cons but he has his pros too," Arthur reasoned stubbornly.

"Oh really?" rodernick asked heedlessly and unbelievingly.

"Yes, Alfred can make people smile, he knows when to be silent and listen; he knows how to care!" Arthur shouted. "And you have no right to treatr him like trash!"

Alfred looked at Arthur in a whole new way. Arthur… was a person…!
